Global Warming- A priority that must not be ignored

Global Warming- A priority that must not be ignored

Global warming is having a significant impact on sea animals, with many species struggling to adapt to the changing conditions in the oceans. Some of the most significant effects of global warming on sea animals include:

  1. Rising Ocean Temperatures: Warmer ocean temperatures can cause stress, disease, and death in many sea animals, especially those that are temperature-sensitive, such as coral reefs and sea turtles.

  2. Ocean Acidification: The increase in carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere is also causing the ocean to become more acidic, making it harder for sea animals, such as shellfish and coral, to build and maintain their shells and skeletons.

  3. Changes in Habitats: Warmer ocean temperatures and rising sea levels are causing many sea animals to move to new habitats in search of cooler and deeper waters. This can lead to competition for resources and changes in food chains, putting pressure on many species.

  4. Reduction in Food Sources: Changes in ocean conditions, such as rising temperatures and acidification, can also impact the distribution and abundance of sea animals' food sources, such as plankton and krill, making it harder for them to find enough to eat.

  5. Mass Extinctions: The combined effects of global warming and other stressors, such as over-fishing and pollution, are putting many sea animal species at risk of extinction. This is a significant concern, as sea animals play a critical role in maintaining the health of ocean ecosystems and the overall health of our planet.

It is essential that we take action to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to protect sea animals and the oceans they depend on. This includes implementing sustainable fishing practices, reducing plastic pollution, and investing in renewable energy sources. By taking these steps, we can help ensure a healthy future for our oceans and the incredible array of species that call them home.

This is the reason why we started Bleau Foundation, which aims to raise funds to donate to non-for-profit organisations that are not only actively seeking solutions to such big problems, but also deal with the immediate damage that global warming is causing today.

It is a responsibility that every one of us needs to bear, and as such, we hope to be assisting and working alongside amazing organisations to make the future livable for all inhabitants of Earth. For this reason, AU$2.00 of every purchase made by you will go towards Bleau Foundation to support this worthy cause.

You're not jut buying skincare, you're contributing to a much bigger cause each time by doing so.

Thank you
